Skopje, 1 July 2025 - Violence against women is never acceptable—and it must never be ignored. Each of us bears a responsibility to speak up, report abuse, and support victims and survivors. This was the central message at the event recently held in Skopje, marking the continuation of the campaign “There Is Help for a Life Without Violence”.

With a renewed focus on encouraging bystanders to report gender-based against women and domestic violence, the campaign is implemented by the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth, in partnership with United Nations Population Fund in North Macedonia and with the financial support of the British Embassy in Skopje.

Under the powerful slogan “Don’t Be a Silent Witness”, the campaign promotes the shared responsibility of individuals and society to support victims and take action against violence. The initiative highlights the importance of community engagement and aims to raise awareness about available services for prevention and protection from gender-based violence against women and domestic violence.

The campaign will run throughout the year and will feature a wide range of communication products and outreach tools—including awareness-raising videos, distribution of printed materials, and a social media campaign—designed to reach a broad audience and inspire collective action.
