Tirana, November 20-22, 2023 - A study visit of youth officers and members of local youth councils from the municipalities of Bitola, Ohrid, and Gostivar, supported by UNFPA and UNDP North Macedonia, took place in Tirana, Albania.

The purpose of the visit was to facilitate the exchange of best practices in legislation, policy development, strategies, and methods that improve the effective functioning of local youth councils. Additionally, it aimed to familiarize participants with successful approaches to youth inclusion in decision-making processes at the local level.

During the visit, several meetings were held, including with the Albanian Minister for Youth. This was followed by field visits and meetings at the local level in the municipalities of Lezhë, Krujë, Elbasan, Berat, and Prrenjas.

The visit is part of the regional project "Youth for Inclusion, Equality, and Trust," funded by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund.
