Skopje, June/July 2023 - Briefings for the sensitization of journalists and editors on ethical reporting about gender-based violence and domestic violence were held on the 29th and 30th of June in Skopje. The meetings with journalists were attended by 14 journalists from 4 TV stations, 1 radio station, 1 magazine, 4 newspaper/web portals, and 1 news agency.
Representatives coming from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Ministry of Internal Affairs spoke at the briefings emphasizing the work of national institutions on the topic of gender-based and domestic violence and highlighting the importance of the multi-sectoral response to GBV. The research on ethical GBV reporting, which was previously conducted and published, was also presented.
The briefings were organized jointly with the Institute for Communication Studies.
